After several years of waiting, the paranormal horror game from Kinetic Games Phasmophobia will officially launch on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles on October 29, alongside the annual Halloween event. While PhasmophobiaThe port to consoles alone is notable enough, but this year’s Halloween event stands out for several reasons.

Phasmophobia has had Halloween events before, but the 2024 one is unique as it introduces some brand new features to the game that have never been seen before in any previous Halloween event. Specifically, PhasmophobiaThe 2024 Halloween Special event brings a new weather system with permanent potential and a community-oriented goal with valuable rewards.

Phasmophobia’s 2024 Halloween event will feature a new weather system

One of the most notable features coming Phasmophobia with the 2024 Halloween Special event, there will be a new Blood Moon weather system. If players look up at the sky and peer through the rain during the Halloween event, they will notice that the blood-red moon covers the world on the ground in a thick crimson red. Essentially, PhasmophobiaThe game’s Blood Moon system places a deep red filter on pretty much everything in the game, but weather also has some impact on gameplay.

While the rain of blood falls during Phasmophobia‘s Halloween event, ghosts will be more powerful and stronger than ever before, requiring players to move through each location and solve the puzzles within as quickly and efficiently as possible. PhasmophobiaThe new Halloween-themed Blood Moon weather will be featured in four different locations in the game: Point Hope, Edgefield, Willow, and Grafton Farmhouse.

There is one more important addition to come Phasmophobia with the 2024 Halloween event there will be a series of community-oriented goals, which is a first for the game and any events it has had before. For the most part, these goals involve simply playing the game as normal, but Blood Moon Totems will also be added to the game that players can shoot for additional progress toward community goals. The objectives for Phasmophobia‘s community-driven Halloween event is as follows:

• Identify ghosts correctly
• Complete optional objectives
• Photograph all the totems in the area

As players complete these objectives, they will add progress to three individual completion stages, with each stage offering players a different reward for their efforts. When any of these stages reach 100% completion, players will progress to the next stage. Once a stage is completed, players will need to interact with the Blood Altar in the Warehouse, and their reward for that stage will be presented to them. Below are the phases for Phasmophobia‘s community-driven Halloween event and the reward for each stage:

• Phase 1: Blood Moon ID Card
• Phase 2: Improved ID card
• Phase 3: Blood Moon Trophy and permanent Blood Moon weather system

A new event board is launching alongside the Phasmophobia 2024 Halloween special

In addition Phasmophobia‘s Halloween Special in 2024, a new event board will be added to the base game. This board allows players to track the community’s progress during the event and their progress towards various previously hidden challenges in the game. Phasmophobia Challenges that can be pursued include playing certain cards a certain number of times, correctly identifying ghosts, and Apocalypse challenges that require players to complete some of the game’s most difficult tasks.

Phasmophobia is a 4-player online co-op psychological horror game. You and your team of paranormal investigators enter haunted locations full of paranormal activity and try to collect as much evidence as possible. Locations: Choose from over 10 different haunted locations, each with unique twists, hiding spots and layouts.

Game Modes: With 5 standard difficulties and handcrafted weekly challenges, there are plenty of ways to test your skills.

Teamwork: Dive in first, get your hands dirty looking for evidence as you fight for your life. If you’re not up to the task, play it safe and support your team from the truck by monitoring the investigation with CCTV and motion sensors.
