Monster Hunter Wilds beta: all content included
Capcom has announced what will be available to play in the Monster Hunter Wilds beta, and we’re going to break it all down for you here.
The open beta consists of three parts:
Character creation
This part of the beta gives you access to the full suite of Monster Hunter Wilds character creation options. This allows you to fully customize your character and Palico, and you can redo this process as many times as you like.
Your character creation data will be transferable to the final game when it launches in February, so you can continue playing with your custom fighter and Palico.
Story test
The Story Trial portion of the beta lets you play through the opening moments of Monster Hunter Wilds’ cinematic story mode. This consists of the opening cutscene and a Chatacabra hunt, including basic tutorials on the game’s combat.
Doshaguma Hunting
In the Doshaguma Hunt portion of the beta, your goal is to take out the alpha of a pack of Doshaguma in the Windward Plains region, giving you a real taste of the Monster Hunter Wilds gameplay experience.
In both beta missions, you can send an SOS Flare to summon other players to help you. If there aren’t enough players to join your hunt, the SOS Flare will summon AI hunters to fill the gaps.
Monster Hunter Wilds Beta: All the Rewards and How to Get Them
Everyone who participates in the Monster Hunter Wilds beta will receive a special bonus pendant for use in the full game when it releases in February.
You can use the pendant to decorate your weapon or Seikret (your mount).
Monster Hunter Wilds Beta: What will and won’t carry over to the full game
