Black Friday Meta Quest deals are just around the corner, and thanks to the arrival of the Quest 3S, they could be a great time to get your hands on a Quest 3 512GB model or some new accessories. We almost certainly won’t see a discount for the new Quest 3S as it’s about to hit shelves. However, that doesn’t mean there won’t be bundles to make the most of, or even some price drops on competing headsets that you should be aware of.
2024 was great for VR. Apple Vision Pro launched this year, and while it was all the rage when it came out, it’s become the weird, rich uncle of the VR family that everyone talks about but no one really has much interest in. PSVR 2 has had a great year, despite the lack of first-party exclusives announced for it. PC support brings its amazing feature set to a whole new market, and it’s great to see another viable option. In the UK the Pico 4 Ultra has arrived, so there are some great alternatives to Meta Quest devices if you’re still not sure which you prefer. Still, the Meta Quest devices are some of the most approachable VR devices on the shelves right now, and there’s a good reason they’re so popular.
Black Friday gaming deals will be approaching sooner than you might think, and they usually offer you the chance to get into this technology cheaper than usual. If you’re looking for a deal on one of the best VR headsets, it’s best to do some long-term planning so you know how much you can save throughout the year. The Meta Quest 3S is now on its way and has certainly caused some shifts in the VR pricing landscape. The 128GB Meta Quest 3 has now been retired, which means it will soon become increasingly difficult to find stock. Meanwhile, as we feared, the Quest 2 has also been discontinued to make room for the lower price of the Quest 3S. The Quest Pro is now also out of the picture, but that does not necessarily have to be a tragedy.
The 512GB Quest 3 remains an option for enthusiasts, so the price just dropped to $499. The Quest 3S starts at 128GB and is priced at $299, but has a 256GB model with a higher capacity for $399. Currently, any Quest headset purchased will benefit from the pre-order bundle available for the 3S. You get Batman Arkham Shadow at no extra cost. If this is anything like last year’s Asgard’s Wrath 2 launch bundle, it could last well into 2025.
So for Black Friday we could very well see a brutal price drop on the 512GB Quest 3, possibly to keep it competitive with the new HTC Vive Focus Vision or the Pico 4 Ultra. Being brand new, the Quest 3S is unlikely to become cheaper in November, so I wouldn’t wait to find out.
What’s more certain is that some of the best Meta Quest accessories will be heavily discounted. These always make up the majority of deals we find, and they’re a fantastic way to improve the quality of life for your headset. Are you going for a new headband that extends the life of your battery? Do you grab a charging stand so that your controllers don’t constantly run out of power? Or do you purchase a carrying case so you can take some spatial computing power with you on the go? These types of things are always discounted during Black Friday, so if nothing else, be prepared for that.

The Quest 2 is still worth buying for novice VR gamers in my opinion. Annoyingly, it’s been very difficult to find lately, and will only continue to be so as it has been officially discontinued by Meta to make room for the Quest 3S
If you can find one, or if you are a collector looking for one to display and cherish forever, we will do our best to find some, but we must be careful. The prices of these types of old appliances can skyrocket, so be careful not to pay too much for them.
